Any parent whose child has hip dysplasia knows that traditional sizing does not work for this baby... therefore, the three size options are SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE. These clothes are cut big and have a lot of stretch and are all made with cotton or cotton blends for maximum comfort.

BABYBELLS(harness pants)

BabyBells are cut specifically for the harness wearing babies with wide legs and stretchy material that will not interfere with the harness straps and overall movement of the child.
The best way to gauge size is to measure the child's inseam area from crotch to toe.

BabyBellInseam:

Small- 5 " (Newborn size- 2 months)
Medium- 6" (approximate fit 3-5 months)
Large- 9" (approximate fit 6-10 months)

 

SPICAHIPS (spica cast pants) Patent Pending

These pants are cut even larger than the BabyBells to accomodate the cast. They work for the spica because there is strategically placed velcro to allow the whole side of one leg to open and wrap around the cast. If you have a bar spica situation (bar in between the legs) we do have SpicaHipBars which can be special ordered. Please contact us for details.

'HIP'PY ONESIE (U.S. PAT. NO. DES.  US D595,030 S) (Spica and Harness)

Perfect for harness and spica kids, these onesies are specifically designed with a high cut thigh, and 'thong-like' closure to ensure proper fit. I always encourage buying slightly bigger to allow for growing into the onesie and not having it be too binding. So if you have a child that is 5 months, go with the Medium.

'Hip'py Onesie Sizing:

Small- 0-3 months
Medium- 6-9 months
Large- 12+ months
